What the warranty covers:

KDS warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship during the warranty period. If a product proves to suffer from defective materials or workmanship during the warranty period, KDS will repair or replace the entire monitor with a new or re certified monitor of equal or greater value, at the discretion of KDS.

How long the warranty is effective:

Product warranties may vary and depend on where you purchased the monitor. please check the warranty card in the box for your products warranty information. The chart below is for your reference only.

*Back light and LCD panel covered for 1 year only  

If a copy of the original proof-of-purchase is not available, the warranty period will be considered to begin on the date of manufacture (this applies to repairs or replacement on arrival only). There is no grace period for a unit once the warranty period is over.

The warranty is subject to change at any time without prior notice.

KDS reserves the right to refuse service at any time.

Who the warranty protects:

This warranty is not transferable and is valid only for the original purchaser.

What the warranty does not cover:

• Warranty is not valid for units purchased from online auctions.
• Warranty is valid for units purchased within the continental U.S.A.
• Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
• Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
  a. Normal wear and tear.
  b. Scratching, cracking or breakage of the CRT.
  c. Cracked, scratched, broken or modified plastic, or parts that have been altered,  defaced or removed.
  d. Accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, improper shipping or acts of God or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.
  e. Repairs not performed by KDS.
  f. Removal or installation of the product.
  g. Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations or failure.
  h. Any other cause that does not relate to a product defect.

How to get service:

• For information on obtaining warranty service, call your KDS dealer, visit our web site at www.kdsusa.com, or call KDS Customer Support at 800-283-1311.
• If you are determined to be eligible for warranty service, you will be required to provide:

          a. The original dated sales slip
          b. Your name
          c. Your address
          d. The serial number of the product
          e. Where purchased
          f. Telephone number
          g. The model number of the product
          h. Description of problem

Limitation of implied warranties:

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION CONTAINED HEREIN INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Exclusion of damages:

KDS LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT. KDS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY CAUSED BY ANY DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT, DAMAGES BASED UPON INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, LOSS OF GOODWILL, INTERFERENCE WITH BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS, OR OTHER COMMERCIAL LOSS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
ANY OTHER DAMAGES, WHETHER INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE.
ANY CLAIM AGAINST THE CUSTOMER BY ANY OTHER PARTY.

Effect of local law:

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties and/or do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
